Jamie is a self-taught artist from the mid-west now living in Tacoma, WA. Homeless at the age of 13 he has made his living as a dishwasher, a teacher, a bartender, a farmhand, a warehouse worker and briefly as a mechanical bull operator. He spent eight consecutive years hopping freight trains, traveling the continental US and exploring what it is to be human in as many contexts as he could find.
Obsessed with stories; he uses symbolism and magical realism to explore The narratives we're born into and struggle to outgrow, the stories we create for and around ourselves and the reconciliation of the two.
